Transparent athlet
The announcement of my comeback in August 2009 did not only give rise to positive reactions – I’m very aware of that. It is clear that the headlines written about me gave a lot of people in Germany and cycling fans, in particular, plenty of cause to be disappointed with me.
So I now want to make all the more effort to regain the lost trust and support through transparency and openness. It is up to me to do everything in my power to show that I am serious about this and intend to keep my sport “clean”.
For this reason, I will be publishing all the results of independent checks and blood values available to me here. In addition, I will, from February on, have voluntary checks carried out by independent test bodies on top of the stipulated tests and examinations and also publish training results at regular intervals.
